Nigel Ingram

Nigel's early experience and love of Asia started early in his career when he was awarded a Fellowship to study local government in Japan in the 90s. He moved into central government, taking up a role developing relationships between central and local government.

Fast forward to 2007, Nigel returned to Asia where he joined the New Zealand Commerce and Industry Office in Taipei, promoting New Zealand's trade, economic and cultural interests in Taiwan.

Nigel studied the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Law and China's accession to the WTO at the London School of Economics and Political Science and Peking University in Beijing. He also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at National Taiwan University. It was here that his interest first grew in starting a business between New Zealand and Taiwan, based on socially responsible principles.

After returning to New Zealand, Nigel has held senior leadership roles in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and in the public sector.
